The school’s most recent OfSTED inspection was in November 2016.  We were very disappointed to be judged as Requiring Improvement to be good, especially despite our early years and personal development and welfare of children to be judged good or outstanding.  However, we have plans in place to address our two key issues, and fully expect to bounce back to Good as soon as possible.

The SIAS inspection (Statutory Inspection of Anglican Schools) graded us as a good school overall, with outstanding features. They said:

“Birdham CE Primary School serves its community well. There are good relationships with the parish church and village. The Christian mission, expressed through a commitment to sustainability and care for God’s world, is evident in the school grounds and Eco centre. Relationships, underpinned by Christian values, are very strong.”
